- Account and contact information, such as phone number, email address, authentication details, and support messages.
- Profile information, such as name, photo, sports, skill levels, preferred courts, availability, city, and player preferences.
- Match and activity information, such as games, instant match requests, participants, results, reports, chat threads, and messages.
- Device and usage information, such as device identifiers, notification tokens, app version, approximate location signals, log data, and interactions with Rally pages or features.
2. How we use information
We use information to operate, personalize, protect, and improve Rally.
- Create and manage accounts, authentication, sessions, and support requests.
- Recommend players, courts, games, instant matches, and city-specific experiences.
- Coordinate match details, chats, notifications, live activity updates, and reminders.
- Maintain safety, moderation, fraud prevention, debugging, analytics, and service reliability.
- Communicate about product updates, policy changes, waitlist status, and relevant Rally opportunities.
3. Information visible to other users
Rally is a social sports product, so some information is shared with other players as part of the service. This may include your profile, sports, skill level, availability signals, preferred courts, match status, chat messages, and other details needed to coordinate play.
Be thoughtful about what you include in your profile and messages. Do not share sensitive information in chats or public-facing profile fields unless you want other users involved in that match or conversation to see it.
4. Sharing with service providers and partners
We may share information with vendors and service providers that help us run Rally, including hosting, database, authentication, communications, notifications, analytics, security, customer support, and payment services.
We may also share information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, to investigate misuse, in connection with a business transaction, or with your consent. We do not sell your personal information or use it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
5. Location, notifications, and device permissions
Rally may use location-related information to show nearby courts, players, games, city pages, and match options. You can control precise device permissions through your operating system settings.
If you allow push notifications, we use notification tokens to send account, match, chat, reminder, safety, and live activity updates. You can disable notifications through your device settings.
6. Cookies and analytics
The Rally website may use cookies, local storage, logs, and similar technologies to keep the site working, understand usage, prevent abuse, and improve the product.
Your browser may let you block or delete cookies, but some features may not work correctly without them.
7. Retention and choices
We keep information for as long as needed to provide Rally, maintain records, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce terms, protect safety, and improve the service.
You can update certain account and profile information in the app. You may request access, correction, deletion, or other privacy help by contacting hello@rally.app. We may need to verify your request before acting on it.
8. Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. No online service can guarantee perfect security, and you should use strong device security and keep your login methods protected.
9. Children
Rally is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to Rally, contact us so we can review and take appropriate action.
10. Changes and contact
We may update this Privacy Policy as Rally changes. The updated version will show a new last updated date, and material changes may be communicated through the service or by other reasonable means.
